There are no vaccination requirements for short stays; however, for a long stay, an anti-rabies vaccination is strongly advised. There is a risk of malaria (P. vivax exclusively) from July to October in the South East of the country.

There is great diversity in Georgia's climate. The western part is humid and subtropical, while the eastern part has a continental climate characterized by quite cold winters and hot summers. Foreign visitors usually like khachapuri which is a quiche filled with slightly salted cheese, and muzhuzi which is a dish of boiled pigs' trotters with vinegar. You should also taste kharcho which is a mutton and rice soup.
